David Merritt is the Director of Defensive Analytics at Kenvue. In this role, David leads a team leveraging data and analytics to support data-driven decision making for the Cyber org. His team integrates cyber and business data with model-based thinking to create outcome-driven measures of risk. David spent 20 years in the Air Force as a cyber operator and educator, where he served as the Head of the Department of Computer and Cyber Sciences at the U.S. Air Force Academy, led the cyberspace weapons testing and experimentation activities for U.S. Cyber Command, and led all investigations for the Air Force Computer Emergency Response Team (AFCERT). David holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Michigan, where his research focused on hybrid intelligence—combining the strengths of the crowd (human knowledge) with the strengths of machines to complete hard tasks with correctness and at scale.
