Sherron Burgess currently serves as Senior Vice President and Global Chief Information Security Officer at BCD Travel where she’s charged with safeguarding the company’s digital assets and infrastructure on a global scale. Her responsibilities include crafting and executing robust cybersecurity strategies that align with the BCD’s overall objectives, mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements across diverse jurisdictions in over 100+ countries.

As an expert in cyber talent pipeline development and a global champion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Burgess serves as Chair of the Board of Directors for Cyversity, a non-profit organization with a mission to increase the representation of women, underrepresented communities, and veterans in the field of cybersecurity. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Siena College and a Master of Science from Georgia Tech.

Sherron holds multiple cybersecurity certifications and participates in select industry forums as a sought-after speaker and writer on emerging cyber security trends and issues.
